Seeing the land at Christmas time

We spent Christmas this year in Virginia. I will post another blog and pictures of that time. Just after Christmas, John, Linda, Ashley, Andrew, and Toogie Benson, Stefanie (Andrew's girlfriend) and TK (our new travel buddy) came up to see the land and have some fun. We had a great time. This is the video of all of us going to the land. When we got to the land, two hunters were there with their four wheelers and guns. The hunters were eating whole fruit pies with their hunting knifes! Ewwww. They left shortly after we got there. (hee hee hee) Not all of us could fit in the RTV so Kevin went mudding in my volvo to take everyone through the property. (all four wheeling soccer moms do it) We were lucky, it was a very pretty day. Oh, Michal was home getting ready, that is why she is not in the video and dad was doing something at that time as well. My favorate part of the video is looking at Ashley's socks. We had a great day and as you can tell Patrick loves it up there, hope you enjoy.

This video is so funny! This is were we are going to put our house. We did get in that deer stand to look over the area, but I didn't have the camera on like I thought. I will put that video on next time, it is pretty funny. I am sure I will get better with the camera. (I hope)

More on the land

To get to the property you have to go up Mcraes Road, past mom and dad's and turn left on Pig Nut Road, at the top of the Mountain. At the end of that road is the first lot, lot 9. That is what Brad and Andria might buy and Michal might live with them there, it is partially cleared and on the road. As you go down the path you pass a gate and then on your right a dumping area. (really nice) Mom and dad have decided to build on the left of the path a little less than 25 acres in. Our house will be about 50 acres past that on the left of the path, where the path's all meet. There is a pretty view down the hill and some very pretty trees. Scott and Terri are not far on the other side of the mountain. Dad said there is a path from Scott's house up to the area, but we haven't seen it yet.

First time we saw the land in Virginia

On December 8, 2007 Kevin, the girls and I were able to visit our new farm. Mom and Dad bought some of the land and we have bought some, Brad and Andria are considering. We went up to find where we wanted our new house to be. Here are pictures from the trip and how pretty the leaves were at that time of year, we were even expecting some snow!
